The following are sample lesson plans, a comprehensive professional development/curricular enhancement program based on classic American documents.

These lesson plans work in conjunction with music CD's of recorded material developed by The Muse Project.

Sample Lesson Plans

• The Constitution of the United States
  This sample lesson plan is based on the Executive Branch of The Constitution. Developed for middle school students, it works in conjunction with the audio selection of The Executive Branch.
  
• The Indian Removal Act of 1830
  This sample lesson plan is based on the Indian Removal Act of 1830. Developed for middle and high school students, it works in conjunction with the audio selection of The Indian Removal Act, titled, "You Will Go."
  • "You Will Go" Lyrics
    Composer, Lynda Roth, developed these lyrics from the text of the original source document.
  • A student sample poem
    A 9th grader from Penn Manor High School, Millersville, PA interpreted the text of the IRA from a unique perspective, creating this poem.
